Imaging & Radiology Records FAQs

How do I find my imaging and radiology records in MyChart?

Log into your MyChart account and select “Test Results” in the top navigation bar to see a list of your results. At the end of the results, you will see a link for "Linked Information & Images."

What is MyChart eUnity image viewing?

It is an image viewing tool that allows you to view your diagnostic images directly from your MyChart account.

Which types of images can I view in MyChart?

eUnity image viewing allows you to view and download your diagnostic images, such as x-ray, CT scan and MRI, through MyChart.

When can I see my radiology images?

With very few exceptions, all imaging results are posted to your MyChart account as soon as they are available. Please note, you may receive your images in MyChart before your provider has reviewed your results. If you have questions about your results, please contact the provider who ordered your test or by sending a secure message via My Chart.

In rare cases, results may be withheld until a provider can review a note or pending a review from a cosigning provider.

What happens if an image was corrected or updated?

If an image is updated, the new version typically replaces the old image automatically once processed in the imaging system.

How do I download my images?

eUnity viewing tool allows you to download single JPEG images as easy‑to‑view picture files but do not include medical details.

To download a single image:

  • Select the image you want to download
  • Choose Export from the top toolbar
  • Select the Download icon
  • Choose JPEG or PNG as your file format

Using a supported browser, you can download dynamic DICOM images. These images are more complex and are medical images used by clinical systems (such as PACS and radiology software) and include patient information, exam details and data needed for diagnosis and care.

To download your entire study as DICOM files:

  • Select Export
  • Choose Download DICOM Study
  • Create a ZIP password when prompted (required to download the full study)
How do I view my downloaded images?

If you downloaded a single image as a JPEG or PNG, you can simply double‑click the file to open and view it.

If you downloaded your entire study as DICOM files, you will need a third‑party DICOM viewer installed on your computer. Many free DICOM viewers are available online for download.

Where do I find my images once I’ve downloaded them?
  • In the top‑right corner of the screen, select the Download icon
  • Once your study has finished downloading, choose Open File
  • This will open your computer’s Downloads folder, where your images will be saved
How do I share these images with a provider?

It’s a good idea to check with your provider’s office first to see how they prefer to receive imaging files. You can save your downloaded images to a thumb drive, CD or DVD and share it with them.

How do I request my radiology images for myself or my provider?

We encourage you to view and download your radiology images directly in MyChart whenever possible. If you’re unable to access them in MyChart, or if you need your images sent to an external provider, you can request them using the Radiology Image Record Request form.

Once your request is processed, you’ll receive an email from Nuance Powershare with instructions on how to create an account. Additionally, you will receive a MyChart message containing your token code to access your images.

*Please note, we no longer provide imaging records on CD or DVD.

My images are not loading. I need help.

Please contact our technical support team at 1-888-979-1414 if images fail to load or appear incomplete.
