Obstetrics, Midwifery and Gynecology at University of Vermont Health – Central Vermont Medical Center provides high-quality care in a supportive and compassionate environment. At our practice, you'll find a collaborative team of board-certified OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, a family medicine physician and a psychologist — working together to support your health through every stage of life.
Our Services
- Preventative Gynecology Visits: Routine visits are important for establishing care and detecting problems early. These visits are focused on screening, wellness and prevention.
- Cervical Cancer Screening: Comprehensive cervical cancer screening services, including Pap smears, HPV testing and personalized follow-up care for abnormal results.
- Sexually Transmitted Infections: Confidential, comprehensive STI screening and treatment in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
- Family Planning and Birth Control: We offer a full range of birth control options and help you choose which is right for you.
- Preconception Care: Planning a pregnancy? Our team is here to help you prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy by reviewing your current health, medications and any existing medical conditions.
- Pregnancy & Childbirth: Midwives and obstetricians provide 24-hour local coverage, working closely with Central Vermont Medical Center Birthing Center nurses and your support team throughout labor and delivery.
- Postpartum Care: After delivery, we continue to provide care to you while a pediatrician or family medicine physician begins caring for your baby.
- Perimenopause Care: Compassionate guidance and tailored treatments to help you manage the changes and symptoms of perimenopause with ease.
- Menopause Care: Supportive, personalized care to help you navigate every stage of menopause with confidence and comfort.
- In-Office Procedures: A variety of in-office procedures, including biopsies, IUD insertions and specialized ultrasounds. We prioritize your comfort and offer tailored pain management techniques to ensure a gentle and reassuring experience.
- Surgical Care: Our experienced gynecologists perform a full range of surgical procedures — including hysteroscopies, endometrial ablations, D&Cs, hysterectomies, sterilizations and more.
We work closely with your UVM Health primary care provider and specialists to ensure seamless, coordinated care. Whether you need a referral to maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology or other specialty services, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
We also collaborate locally with community partners like Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH), Good Beginnings of Central Vermont, the Washington County Mental Health Doula Program and other supportive organizations — so you have a full circle of care during every phase of life.
