About Me
The opportunities to get to know my patients over time inspire me the most. I want to be there for them in times of challenge or vulnerability — and to see them through these times.
I’m passionate about engaging each individual in their healthcare decision-making process and ensuring that all patients feel welcome, safe and respected, so that they can participate in health care in a way that feels approachable.
I grew up in Burlington and studied biology and anthropology at Hamilton College. After college, I lived in Seattle and progressed toward my medical career — from working at REI and a bread bakery to volunteering at the University of Washington Medical Center and then at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where I focused on ovarian and breast cancer research.
Upon completing my medical school degree at the Larner College of Medicine at University of Vermont, I returned to Seattle for my family medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente. Now, I’m finally back home in Vermont.
I enjoy spending time with my family and doing almost anything outdoors, like hiking, paddling, cross-country skiing, cooking, gardening and dabbling in artistic endeavors.
I’m passionate about engaging each individual in their own health care decision-making process.
