Where Expertise Meets Precision Imaging

At University of Vermont Health, you’ll find state-of-the-art radiology and imaging services, delivered with a coordinated, team-based approach. We offer a full range of medical imaging technology, including the fastest 3T MRIs available and biplane interventional radiology that allows us to perform life-saving stroke and cancer treatments.

Our radiologists are essential members of your care team. They capture the detailed images needed to assess your condition and make an accurate diagnosis. Our interventional radiologists provide interoperative (surgical) imaging and image-guided procedures.

Our team performs more than 600,000 scans and procedures a year at locations throughout UVM Health. With services available across Vermont and northern New York, you’re never far from advanced radiology care.

Why Choose UVM Health?

  • Extensive experience: As a health system anchored by an academic medical center, you receive care from leading, fellowship-trained radiology experts across 11 subspecialties.
  • Seamless support: When your providers orders a test, our schedulers work with you to find a location and appointment time that best suits your needs. Through our Imaging Management Center (IMC) we can securely send your images electronically, eliminating the need for cumbersome CDs.
  • Multidisciplinary team: Our multidisciplinary teams provide coordinated care for people with a wide range of conditions, including cancer, trauma, chronic diseases and pediatric illnesses.
  • Advanced technology: Today’s technology is evolving rapidly to provide images with greater accuracy and detail. We have wide bore (larger opening) MRIs that are more comfortable and 256-slice CT scanners that offer greater diagnostic sensitivity.
  • Commitment to quality and safety: We are accredited by the American College of Radiologists (ACR) — the gold standard for medical imaging — in six specialties. ACR accreditation demonstrates our commitment to meet or exceed nationally recognized standards of care.
