University of Vermont Medical Center
UVM Medical Center, together with the Larner College of Medicine at University of Vermont and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, is Vermont's academic medical center. Located in Burlington, UVM Medical Center is a nonprofit hospital that serves as a regional referral center – providing advanced care to approximately one million people in Vermont and northern New York – and as a community hospital for approximately 150,000 residents in Chittenden and Grand Isle counties.
It holds a top 10 ranking nationally among university hospitals for quality and accountability and ranks No. 1 in patient safety. Our primary, secondary and tertiary services cover every major area of medicine. We have the region's only Level 1 trauma center, University of Vermont Children's Hospital, University of Vermont Cancer Center, the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Vermont, and comprehensive cardiovascular services and stroke treatment.
University of Vermont Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center
UVM Health Network - Alice Hyde Medical Center is a private, nonprofit hospital located in Malone, NY. Established in 1913, Alice Hyde Medical Center provides high-quality, low-cost health care to the more than 55,000 residents of the North Country. The Medical Center consists of a 76-bed acute care facility, a 135-bed long-term care facility, and a 30-bed assisted living facility.
Alice Hyde also has a walk-in clinic, and a robust primary care practice, which includes offices on the Malone campus, as well as four family health centers which bring primary and preventive services into the community. Alice Hyde also offers specialty care, including women's health services, a cancer center, an orthopedic and rehabilitation center, a dental center, general surgery, cardiology, and more. Alice Hyde Medical Center employs more than 700 people across its facilities. Alice Hyde Medical Center is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
University of Vermont Health Network – Central Vermont Medical Center
UVM Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center of Berlin, Vermont, consists of a nonprofit acute care hospital offering a full spectrum of in-patient and out-patient services and 24-hour emergency care, National Life Cancer Treatment Center, Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing, and 18 medical group practices. Its mission is to work collaboratively with the other network partners to meet the needs and improve the health of the residents of central Vermont.
University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital
UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital is a private, nonprofit hospital established in 1967 with the merger of Champlain Valley and Physicians hospitals. It is the largest health care provider and employer in New York's North Country. The hospital partners with Adirondack Medical Center and Hudson Headwaters Health Network in the Adirondack Health Institute. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency care, freestanding ambulatory surgery and rehabilitation centers, an accredited cancer center, and a heart center that has earned national acclaim for outcomes and quality.
University of Vermont Health Network – Home Health & Hospice
UVM Health Network - Home Health & Hospice is Vermont's oldest and largest nonprofit home health and hospice agency providing the full spectrum of medically-complex home and community-based care to individuals and families throughout Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties. Programs span a lifetime and include comprehensive nursing care for adults and children, rehabilitation services, chronic disease management, hospice, and palliative care services, adult day programs and private care services.
University of Vermont Health Network – Elizabethtown Community Hospital
UVM Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital is a nonprofit, 25-bed critical access hospital providing health care to communities throughout Essex County, New York (600 square miles). It offers an inpatient unit with both acute and sub-acute care, a 24-hour emergency department, access to specialists, a complete therapy department, on-site laboratory and pharmacy, an all-digital radiology department, chemotherapy/infusion treatment, and a cardiac rehabilitation program – all supported by advanced technology throughout the facility.
The hospital owns a network of community health centers, offering convenient access to primary care throughout the area, and is the only critical access hospital in Essex County accredited by the Joint Commission, reflecting its commitment to achieving certain performance standards.
University of Vermont Health Network – Porter Medical Center
UVM Health Network - Porter Medical Center is a nonprofit health care organization located in Middlebury, Vermont. providing medical and long-term care services for residents of Addison County, northern Rutland County, northeastern New York State, students and staff of Middlebury College and visitors to the area. Comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital, 105-bed skilled nursing facility and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices, Porter has been providing high quality/comprehensive health care services since 1925.
