The University of Vermont Health Network

The University of Vermont Health Network is a six-hospital, and home health & hospice, system designed to offer highly integrated health care across the communities of Vermont and northern New York. The hospitals in the network include The University of Vermont Medical Center (Burlington, Vermont), Central Vermont Medical Center (Berlin, Vermont), Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (Plattsburgh, New York), Elizabethtown Community Hospital (Elizabethtown, New York), Alice Hyde Medical Center (Malone, New York),  Porter Medical Center (Middlebury, Vermont), and the UVM Health Network Home Health & Hospice. The network also includes the UVM Health Network Medical Group.

Accountable Care

The UVM Medical Center and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center are co-founders of OneCareVermont, an extensive network of doctors, health care facilities, academic medical centers, and rural clinics that work together to provide coordinated care and chronic disease management throughout the region.


The UVM Medical Center works collaboratively with local hospitals, rural clinics,  providers and other health care organizations to offer high-quality care that is close to home. Through this integrated system of care we are able we work together to strengthen the services available to patients throughout Vermont and northern New York with coordination among providers and the streamlining of services.

Alliance with The University of Vermont

The UVM Medical Center, the Larner College of Medicine at UVM and the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences make up Vermont's academic medical center. Our doctors are teaching the next generation of physicians and are constantly seeking new cures and treatments through research.
