Scheduling an Appointment

Arriving for Your Appointment

We ask patients to call our cell phone on the day of their infusion to let us know they’re coming in.

Please contact us at least two hours in advance to confirm your appointment.

Many medications can be prepared prior to your arrival once you’ve confirmed.

Shep 4 (802) 318-7527

Tilley Drive (802) 355-6618

Upon arrival, check-in at the front desk. We ask that you bring your insurance card.

If you are more than 15 minutes late we may need to reschedule your appointment. If your medication is prepared but you don’t arrive for your infusion, we can no longer have medication waiting for future visits. The wait for medication preparation can be as long as two hours.

You can cancel your appointment by calling the Infusion Center, responding to the automated confirmation call or via MyChart online. If you cancel through the automated confirmation call or MyChart online you must call to be rescheduled.

You’ll be settled in a bed or reclining chair, and a nurse will begin your infusion - an intravenous line (IV). Our nurses have experience in a broad range of specialties and perform more than 12,000 infusions and injections each year. After your infusion has started, you’ll be kept comfortable for the duration of your visit.

Our infusion bays have patient-controlled TV (single-use headphones available upon request) and recliners for patient comfort. Wi-Fi is available.

At this time patients are permitted only one vaccinated visitor. If the patient requires additional support to access their appointment, contact us prior to your visit.

We have two UVM Medical Center locations.
