About Our Location
At University of Vermont Health – Porter Medical Center, we offer easy access and a comfortable setting for administering intravenous medications, blood, fluids and other infusion therapies to outpatients. Registered nurses administer and monitor your infusion requirements with direction from physician providers.
The Porter Infusion Center is proud of the quality outcomes achieved by the professional staff of registered nurses and pharmacists specifically trained for infusion care. Personalized interaction and education assure a thorough understanding for patients and their families.
Our Services
We provide infusion, injection, transfusion, hydration, PICC/Port Access care and therapeutic phlebotomy services to patients from the Vermont and New York area. We administer many treatments such as blood products, biologics, biosimilars, antibiotics, iron, magnesium and migraine protocols.
Common conditions treated at the Porter Infusion Center include:
- Biological Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
- Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP)
- Crohn’s Disease
- Gout
- Infections requiring IV Antibiotics
- Iron Replacement Therapy
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Osteoporosis
- Plaque Psoriasis
- Ulcerative Colitis
Additional medications and therapeutic agents infused for other needs may be accommodated.
