COVID-19 Testing Near You

Testing is available at numerous sites across Vermont and Northern New York, including pharmacies, Department of Health testing sites and health care providers. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and call your primary care provider.

 

COVID-19 Testing in Vermont

Through the Vermont Department of Health

Testing through the Vermont Department of Health is available to anyone who wishes to be tested, regardless of symptoms or exposure. A list of free testing locations and their hours of operation can be found on the Vermont Department of Health website.

You will need to register for an account on their website in order to make an appointment and receive your results. Your results will be available through their online portal within a few days.

Other Testing Options

Testing is available through most major pharmacies in Vermont, including Kinney Drugs, Walgreens, CVS and others.

Garnet offers same-day PCR and Antigen testing South Burlington.

Testing may also be available at certain walk-in care clinics across the state.

Those without any symptoms can get tested in Berlin via a partnership with Vermont Department of Health and CIC Health. Click here to learn more about where you can get tested.

Porter Medical Center offers testing by appointment only at the Ambulatory Respiratory Clinic, on the main campus. Testing is available from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Please call 802-388-8865 to schedule your appointment.

The UVM Medical Center offers testing through the drive-through clinic at Fanny Allen in Colchester, by appointment only. If you believe you need to be tested for COVID-19 due to symptoms or a known exposure, you will need to call your provider’s office. If they determine testing is recommended, they will place an order for your test and then you will receive a call to schedule.

Your test results will be available online through MyChart. We recommend creating an account in order to receive your results in a timely manner. If you do not have a MyChart account, your provider’s office will be able to share your results when they are available.

Patients should not come to the UVM Medical Center Urgent Care clinic in Colchester for testing, unless they are in need of urgent medical care.

Alice Hyde currently offers two options for COVID-19 testing.

Symptomatic Patients 

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you can be tested by appointment only at Alice Hyde primary care offices, Alice Hyde Pediatrics and Alice Hyde Walk-In Clinic. Patients must have a provider's order to receive testing.

Please call the location where you are seeking testing to schedule an appointment. 

Asymptomatic Patients

If you are asymptomatic, you can be tested at Alice Hyde's Main Floor Laboratory, from 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday - Friday; from 7 a.m. - noon on Saturday; and from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Sunday. Walk-ins are accepted, and no appointment is necessary. Patients must have a provider's order to receive testing. 

For both symptomatic and asymptomatic testing, results will be made available through your primary care provider's office.

Both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients can be tested at 23 Hammond Lane in Plattsburgh. Testing is available seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

When you arrive at the testing location, please remain in your vehicle and call 518-314-3278 to get registered.

Results will be sent to the ordering provider. Patients may also get their results through hixny.org.

COVID-19 testing is available at Elizabethtown Community Hospital’s six health centers and can be scheduled by calling 518-873-3134. Select testing may be scheduled at the ECH emergency department if outside of health center hours and deemed medically necessary.
