Urgent & ExpressCare

High-Quality, Same-Day Care

When you’re dealing with a sudden injury or minor illness, you should be able to get compassionate, same-day treatment. At University of Vermont Health, our Walk-In Care, Urgent Care and ExpressCare locations across Vermont and northern New York offer high-quality care for immediate health needs with no need for an appointment.

Our walk-in centers are open during normal business hours and offer extended evening and weekend hours. Appointments are not required. We can help you get the treatment you need without a trip to the emergency room.

If you're experiencing chest pain, signs of a stroke, severe abdominal pain or other serious symptoms, call 911 or go to the emergency room immediately.

Why Choose UVM Health?

Patients who choose our walk-in care services benefit from:

  • Expert providers: Our team of providers has decades of experience in family medicine, emergency medicine and pediatrics to deliver exceptional care for an array of conditions. We also have the experience to quickly identify when more specialized care is needed and coordinate transfers and referrals when necessary.
  • Teaching and training: Our physicians are clinical leaders, many of whom also train the next generation of physicians. Teaching medical students and residents demands that we stay up to date on the most effective treatment options, so we are continually expanding our knowledge and offering the latest therapies.
  • Coordinated, efficient care: Lab tests are quickly and efficiently processed at our labs, providing you with answers the same day. Many of our locations have convenient retail pharmacies on-site. If you see us outside of normal pharmacy hours, we can provide starter packs of common medications, so you don’t have to wait to begin treatment.
