The Clinician Educator Pathway (CEP) is designed for residents passionate about medical education who seek to make teaching a major part of their career. Residents in the CEP will rapidly develop the skills and knowledge to advance their career goals as future leaders in medical education.
The Clinician Educator Pathway starts in the PGY2 year. We accept 4 residents per year into the CEP. Participants will receive mentorship and teaching skills development from outstanding medical education focused faculty. CEP participants will complete and present a mentored scholarly project in medical education, become a part of the Teaching Academy at UVM College of Medicine, complete a rigorous curriculum in the foundations and applications of medical education, and have ample opportunities to play a significant role in teaching within the residency and at the medical school.
If you love medical education and want it to be a part of your career, the UVM Internal Medicine Residency Clinician Educator Pathway will be a tremendous experience.
