Guiding UVM Health’s Mission and Vision
The University of Vermont Health board of trustees is made up of unpaid community volunteers dedicated to the health system’s mission and vision. The governance committee nominates members with diverse skills and experiences who share that commitment.
The board also includes ex officio members from the Larner College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Vermont, and each partner board. The UVM Health president and CEO also serves as an ex officio member.
Trustees serve four-year terms and may be re-elected once. The board provides oversight of UVM Health management to ensure alignment with its mission and values. It is committed to antiracist practices and to fostering equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its work.
