Community Activities, Events & Resources

We structure community activities and events to appeal to the diverse interests of our residents, tailoring our offerings to your needs and abilities. Community offerings include:

Daily Activities

Every day at Helen Porter is filled with opportunities to engage with other residents. Reading groups, Bingo and blackjack games, crafts and exercise sessions are a few examples of the daily activities we offer.

Recreational Outings

We coordinate recreational outings based on your desires and abilities. From senior luncheons to special trips to view holiday lights, we aim to create a sense of fun, joy and fulfillment.

Spiritual Offerings

A chaplain from Porter Medical Center is available to support residents and family members throughout their stay, as desired. We offer regular services with support from the Porter Medical Center chaplain, as well as local spiritual leaders.

Salon

Our residents can schedule an appointment at our onsite salon every other Wednesday between 9 am to 2 pm.
