Expert Care and Advanced Treatments for Blood Disorders and Cancers

Hematology is the area of medicine that focuses on cancerous and noncancerous blood disorders. Leaders in the field, our fellowship-trained hematologists use the latest diagnostic and treatment strategies for a variety of disorders, including anemia, veinous thromboembolism, leukemia, lymphoma, thrombophilia and hemophilia.

Hematology Services

Cancer care includes innovative treatments, such as targeted therapy, chemotherapy, cellular therapy, CAR-T cell therapy as well as comprehensive support throughout your patient journey.

The Thrombosis and Hemostasis Program provides specialty evaluation and management of patients with blood-clotting abnormalities, such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and bleeding disorders like von Willebrand disease.

The Hemophilia Treatment Center specializes in the treatment of inherited and acquired bleeding disorders, including hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, platelet function disorders and fibrinolytic disorders.

Awards & Certifications

The UVM Cancer Treatment Center is accredited for autologous stem cell transplant and CAR-T cell therapy through the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). FACT sets safety and quality standards for CAR-T cell therapy and ensures program personnel meet high educational and experience requirements.
