Nursing Professional Governance
The UVM Medical Center community is proud to have a formal nursing governance system that has been in place since 2017. This innovative structure consists of nurse-driven councils through which frontline staff partner with leadership to improve the care we provide to our patients and families. In collaboration with The UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences, The University of Vermont Medical Center offers its nursing employees a variety of avenues for continuing their education. Some of which include:
