Clinical Trials: What You Need to Know
Clinical trials are research studies designed to seek new cures and more effective treatments. Each study uses patients and otherwise healthy participants, to answer scientific questions and find better ways to prevent, screen for, diagnose or treat a disease.
Carefully conducted clinical trials are the fastest and safest ways to find treatments that work and improve health. Before a new treatment is approved for general use in the United States, clinical research must be conducted to prove it is safe and effective.
Any research opportunity that we offer to our patients has been approved by our Institutional Review Board which demands the highest level of ethical behavior, transparency, and protection of patient safety and privacy.
