Fundraising events support investments in our employees, programs and facilities and the health of our community.
Support Essential Programs with Community-Driven Events
Fundraising events help us secure additional resources for Home Health & Hospice programs and services. We invite you to support us by attending an event, donating or volunteering. You could even host your own event to raise funds for a cause that’s meaningful to you.
Every dollar we raise supports local patient care, education and training and support for the families we serve.
Jiggety Jog 5K
The annual Jiggety Jog 5K is a fun community jog that raises funds for the McClure Miller Respite House. Runners and walkers generate donations from friends, families and businesses. Businesses can underwrite event costs and/or sponsor a team.
For the Love of Hospice Remembrance Service
Join our McClure Miller Respite House and Community Hospice programs in February as we gather for a time of remembrance to honor our loved ones.
All are welcome; we invite community members to make a gift in memory of a loved one.
Host a Fundraising Event
Would you like to turn your favorite pastime into a fundraising event for Home Health & Hospice? We can show you how to turn activities such as bake sales, craft fairs, cocktail receptions and golf tournaments into benefits for our programs.
We want to make sure your efforts pay off and we will be able to accept the funds you raise. Please carefully read the instructions below to ensure a successful event.
If you need help at any time, we are happy to assist you. Please contact us if you have any questions.
- Decide on the type of event you’ll be holding. There are many fun ways to bring people together and raise funds, so choose an event that resonates with you.
- Let us know what you are planning by sending us an email at Donate@UVMHomeHealth.org.
- Form a committee to help plan and organize your event or project. As you move forward, consider the interest, talents, goals and time availability of your team.
- Determine your target audience. Who is most likely to attend and support your event or project? Are you trying to attract the general public or a specific audience?
- Think about how you could promote the event to get your friends, family and community excited.
- You are responsible for recruiting all volunteers for your event.
- Individuals under 18 must have an adult advisor to oversee the coordination of a school or community event or project.
- Printed and other materials should state that your event is benefiting Home Health & Hospice.
- All necessary permits and certificates of insurance required by city ordinance or otherwise are the responsibility of the fundraising group.
- Due to confidentiality, we cannot release patient, family, donor, volunteer, employee, physician or other mailing lists for the purpose of soliciting funds or promoting your event or project.
- If circumstances warrant, Home Health & Hospice may opt out as a beneficiary of the event.
