Why Choose UVM Health?
As the leading infectious disease program in Vermont and northern New York, we offer:
- Convenient access: We make it as easy as possible to get care, with shorter-than-average wait times and digital health appointments. When necessary, we quickly coordinate consultations with other specialists for complex needs.
- Full range of treatments: Our team provides the entire range of available infectious disease treatments, from immunization counseling and vaccination to at-home intravenous (IV) antibiotics. We are home to one of the few clinics in Vermont licensed to administer the yellow fever vaccine.
- Specialized clinics: We run several specialized clinics to meet the needs of travelers, New Americans and people living with HIV. We collaborate with pulmonologists to offer a Cystic Fibrosis/Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) Clinic, where we offer specialized care to people with cystic fibrosis and complex infections.
- Research emphasis: We offer the only infectious disease fellowship in Vermont, in partnership with the Larner College of Medicine. Our Vaccine Testing Center is a unique site for studying and testing new vaccines, including options for dengue, polio and COVID-19.
