Benefits of an Early Referral to Hospice
Many people come to hospice care in the final weeks or days of life. We welcome a referral at any time, but an early referral has many benefits.
Extra time allows our team to work with you to develop a comprehensive plan of care. It can also help:
- Decrease hospitalizations
- Identify and achieve end-of-life goals before the final days
- Improve family function
- Manage pain and other symptoms sooner
- Process feelings of grief
Together, these benefits can add up to a better quality of life for you and your loved ones. We understand the decision to enter hospice is not easy. If you would like to discuss hospice care and your options, please reach out to us at 802-860-4410. We support you in whatever path you choose.
