The University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group includes both faculty physicians, who practice at hospitals and clinics across the UVM Health Network, and community physicians, who care for patients throughout Central and Western Vermont and Northern New York.

The UVM Health Network Medical Group fosters collaboration and creates an environment where clinical and teaching excellence and research-based expertise is championed and put into practice daily.

Research and Education

All hospitals within The University of Vermont Health Network benefit from the academic medicine of The University of Vermont Medical Center. In alliance with The Larner College of Medicine at UVM and UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences, our physicians and staff advance the field of medicine through scientific research and collaboration.

Through our affiliation with The University of Vermont, all hospitals within our Network will benefit from millions of dollars in external grant funding, which will support 308 research projects. Whether it's the discovery of a gene that causes migraines, or the correlation between cardiovascular exercise and lung cancer, the hospitals of The University of Vermont Health Network are able to leverage the latest scientific research to provide you advanced medical care.
