Woodridge Rehabilitation & Nursing offers community activities, events, recreational outings, spiritual offerings, support groups, and more.

Building Connections

Vibrant community life is central to making Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing your home. Our team is always brainstorming new activities, events and outings. Whether it’s a trip to a baseball game, a ferry ride to New York, on-site concerts or weekly Bingo, we offer multiple opportunities for you to get involved.

Community Activities, Events and Resources

We aim to structure community activities around our residents’ preferences and interests, honoring special requests as much as possible. Community offerings include:

Daily Activities

Every day at Woodridge is filled with opportunities to engage with other residents. Reading groups, poker and Bingo games, cooking groups and exercise sessions are a few examples of the daily activities we offer.

On-Site Events

We host a variety of special events for our residents, their loved ones and the community. Our team organizes pumpkin carvings, spring picnics, special concerts, a summer carnival and more to help our residents connect.

Recreational Outings

We coordinate recreational outings based on residents’ desires. From lunch at favorite restaurants to casino trips, museum visits and summer baseball games in Montpelier, we aim to create a sense of fun, joy and fulfillment.

Spiritual Offerings

Our Director of Pastoral Care is available to meet with residents and their families. Established relationships with community places of worship allow our residents to practice their preferred religion.

Support Groups

We offer monthly support groups for families who have recently moved a loved one to dementia care. These meetings are an opportunity to connect with other families in similar situations and get support through this challenging decision.
