Eyes on the Road, Hands on the Wheel, Mind on Driving
We offer a teen peer-to-peer road safety presentation that can be coordinated by a teacher to help open meaningful discussions around distracted driving and safe decision-making.
Schools within the Greater Burlington Area may also request a one-hour, in-person or virtual presentation led by an Injury Prevention Specialist. To schedule a session, please contact the Injury Prevention Office at InjuryPrevention@UVMHealth.org.
Every day in the United States, approximately nine people are killed and more than 1,000 are injured due to distracted driving. As home to Vermont’s only Level I Trauma Center, University of Vermont Medical Center sees the real-life consequences of these crashes — which is why prevention and education are central to our work.
