University of Vermont Health – Home Health & Hospice provides expert clinical care to nearly 4,400 patients and more than 4,000 hours of compassionate end-of-life care at McClure Miller Respite House — Vermont’s only Medicare-certified inpatient hospice facility.
As part of a rural academic health system, we offer preventive, life-saving and post-discharge care to support patients at every age and stage of life. Together, we are tackling health care’s toughest challenges while strengthening our communities by addressing critical needs that impact access and affordability — including affordable housing, quality childcare and professional growth for our employees.
Home Health & Hospice is deeply rooted in our community. On any given day, our staff care for more than 1,000 people in their homes, at the McClure Miller Respite House and at our Adult Day Program.
