Anne Morris, MD is the Program Director of the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program. Anne is a former Associate Program Director, and Chief Resident of the program. She attended medical school at Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine. A New England native with strong ties to Vermont, Anne was excited to return to Vermont for residency and employment. Her areas of medical interest include adolescents, women's health, and palliative care. Additionally, she enjoys working with residents in the outpatient clinic, and supporting residents in research interests. Anne is passionate about improving graduate medical education. A lover of mountains and lakes, her favorite local spot is the middle of the Colchester Causeway surrounded by Lake Champlain on both sides, the Adirondacks to the west, and the Green Mountains to the east.

Laura Beth Chamberlain, MD is one of two Associate Program Directors at the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program. She came to our residency program after starting her career at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, a FQCHC in Massachusetts.  Laura Beth was involved with residency education at Boston University Family Medicine residency program as the site-director for the East Boston clinic before she moved to Vermont.  She is originally from Massachusetts and did her medical school at the University of Massachusetts and her residency training at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency.  Laura Beth has a clinical interest in addiction medicine and is excited to lead the addiction medicine curriculum.  Laura Beth loves being outdoors: hiking, biking, camping, swimming and has found Vermont to be a perfect place to continue these activities.

Rachel Humphrey, MD is a core faculty member of the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program.  Rachel is a true Vermonter, having been born and raised in this great state, where she also attended medical school and completed her residency.  After providing outpatient primary care for 12 years, she has transitioned to her current role as a hospitalist.  Her clinical interests include providing comprehensive care to hospitalized adult patients and ensuring smooth transitions of care from inpatient to outpatient settings (including the Back to Bedside clinic).  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, hanging out with her dogs, tending to her houseplants, and sitting around a nice campfire.

Clara Keegan, MD, is a core faculty member of the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program. She completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts Worcester Hahnemann Family Health Center and was in private practice in central Massachusetts for 6 years before joining the UVM faculty in 2011. In addition to primary care for all ages and low risk obstetrics, she has special expertise in gynecology and leads the Family Planning Clinic at our South Burlington office. She is an avid knitter and snowboarder.

Gordon Powers, MD

Gordon Powers, MD is an Associate Program Director of the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency  Program. He grew up in New Hampshire prior to moving to California to attend medical school at the Stanford School of Medicine. Though he enjoyed the sunny weather of the West Coast, he was thrilled to return to New England for residency at UVM, becoming chief resident in his third year. Gordon continued on as a faculty member upon graduation. He maintains broad-spectrum clinical practice, caring for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  His areas of residency teaching include care of chronic conditions, population health, and quality improvement. Outside of work, he enjoys weekend trips to New Hampshire and Boston, swimming in the summer, and sitting by the fire with a good book in the winter.

David Swift, MD is a core faculty member of the University of Vermont Family Medicine Residency Program. He grew up in Connecticut prior to attending the University of Vermont for undergraduate. He has enjoyed being part of the UVM community so much that he stayed for his medical school, family medicine residency and then joined the faculty. He has clinical interests in broad spectrum family medicine including obstetrics, pediatrics and outpatient care. Outside of the clinic he can be found biking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing or paddling around the great state of Vermont.

Angela Perras was born and raised in Colchester, Vermont. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Vermont Technical College and spent eight years as a certified veterinary technician. Angie later transitioned into a leadership role, managing a veterinary hospital for 12 years, where she developed a strong foundation in organization, teamwork, and supporting professionals in medical and fast-paced environments.

In 2010, Angie moved to Milton, Vermont, where she resides with her husband, their two children, and a menagerie of pets. Outside of work, Angie enjoys camping with family and friends, hiking with her dogs, and making the most of Vermont’s beautiful outdoors.

Jennifer Wilson

Program Administrator, Family Medicine Residency

Jennifer Wilson is the GME Program Administrator for the University of Vermont Family Medicine residency program. She grew up in a suburb of Montreal, Canada and attended Concordia University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Human Relations. Shortly after graduating, Jennifer moved to Vermont and married her husband. She began working in Human Resources at UVM Medical Center and transitioned to the Family Medicine residency program in August, 2007. In 2013, Jennifer obtained her Certification as a Training Administrator in Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME). She has presented nationally at the ACGME Education Conference, as well as the AAFP’s Residency Leadership Summit. Jennifer was one of five 2021 recipients of the ACGME Debra L. Dooley Program Coordinator Excellence Award. This is awarded annually by the ACGME to a few people from across all programs and all specialties accredited by the ACGME within the US and internationally.   Outside of work, Jenn has served on her town’s School Board of Trustees for 3 years, enjoys spending time with her daughters (and watching them play their sports!), and reading fiction novels.
