Donations have helped us care for our community, advance treatments, invest in new technology, drive research breakthroughs and more.
About UVM Cancer Center
University of Vermont Cancer Center saves lives by advancing research, providing world class clinical care, training the next generation of cancer doctors and scientists, and connecting with community partners to reduce the burden of cancer in Vermont, northern New York and northern New England.
Philanthropic support from people like you fuels every aspect of our work and enables us to move the dial in cancer care for the benefit of countless people. Donations help us advance medical knowledge, cancer treatments, screenings, prevention initiatives and cures for thousands in Vermont and northern New York, and millions more around the globe, with special emphasis on the needs of our rural communities.
Charitable gifts have helped us:
- Bring prevention and screening services to rural communities
- Expand our support of patients undergoing treatment
- Fuel promising research
- Support early career clinicians and scientists
- Introduce and inspire STEM careers among local students
Benefits of a Health System
UVM Cancer Center is part of University of Vermont Health, a nonprofit, integrated health system serving over one million people in Vermont and northern New York.
UVM Health sites include Burlington’s UVM Medical Center, the system’s academic medical center, in partnership with UVM’s Larner College of Medicine and College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the FitzPatrick Cancer Treatment Center at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, the National Life Cancer Treatment Center at Central Vermont Medical Center, the Reddy Cancer Treatment Center at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Elizabethtown Community Hospital and Porter Medical Center.
When you donate to UVM Cancer Center, your gift supports local people, programs and services, but any new understanding, approach or breakthrough is shared with our entire health system. This model ensures that no matter where an individual receives care from UVM Health — from downtown Burlington to rural Malone, NY — they benefit from the expertise developed at every partner organization.
