Honor a Caregiver

Recognize a caregiver who made a difference in your life or in the life of someone close to you.

Express Your Gratitude by Giving

Did someone at University of Vermont Medical Center go above and beyond for you or a loved one? There's no better way to show your appreciation to a special doctor, nurse, staff member or volunteer than through our Honor a Caregiver program.

Anyone who's visited us knows we define care in the broadest possible terms. Our remarkable team strives to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families.

Gifts can be made to honor individuals from across our organization — not just clinical staff. You may want to recognize:

  • The provider who put your worries at ease
  • The staff member who made you smile during your recovery
  • The food service worker who made sure you had your special meal
  • The volunteer who brought you a warm blanket
  • Any other team member who made a profound impact on your care experience

We will notify your honoree of your gift (excluding the gift amount). We will also present them with a Health Care Hero pin to wear with pride and to let the whole UVM Medical Center community know about their exceptional efforts.

To donate through our Honor a Caregiver program, make a gift online or explore other ways to give.

I cannot fully describe how much I appreciate being recognized as a Health Care Hero. I strive to deliver the best possible care to my patients and I am humbled to learn they expressed their gratitude by donating on my behalf.
