Trauma Survivors Network

Trauma Survivors Network at UVM Health

The Trauma Survivors Network (TSN) was created to provide the support and services patients and their families need during recovery from serious injury. The national TSN community offers a way for trauma survivors and families to support and connect with one another.

University of Vermont Health, in partnership with the American Trauma Society (ATS), is committed to supporting and growing the TSN locally by providing the tools trauma patients and families need to navigate the road to recovery and rebuild their lives. These include community resources and events, support groups (including virtual Facebook groups for survivors and their families) and programs to help you manage life after traumatic injury.

Life After Trauma

Life After Trauma is a night to celebrate the recovery process and the lives of those who have survived trauma. The event offers opportunities to network with fellow survivors and recognize champions in the community and in trauma care. The highlight of the evening is Survivor Stories, where trauma survivors share their stories and struggles around trauma and recovery.

E-mail TraumaSurvivors@uvmhealth.org to find out about upcoming events.

"In my healing journey I felt very alone. Family and friends helped as much as they could, but they couldn't help me mentally. I joined this group so I could talk about what I went through with people who understood."
