Dr. Bonney is understanding and patient when I don't quite get the explanation. She has an awesome sense of humor that makes even the worst vaginal exam tolerable. Once again, in my book she's a keeper.
Dr. Bonney is the best Best BEST of all the doctors I have encountered. She greeted me with friendly welcome and put me at ease. She was gentle, knowledgeable, and instructive in a way that makes the treatment of this pop-up problem do-able. She also checked in with the chronic issue that she has been following and treating with me, assuring me that it looks good. She is brilliant and kind.

Dr. Bonney has a breadth and depth of knowledge, and she has the willingness to share her thoughts about the connections between varied disciplines and areas of research. She is a generous and genius human, willing to extend herself beyond the ideas of what we have come to expect from doctors. Example: in 2010 I had a mysterious gut-bag infection 10 months after a colon resection which presented in her office during a gynecological follow-up; she visited me in the hospital while I was there. Also, years ago, she reached out by phone to a friend of mine whom I was concerned about; and this was hero-work, committed to community work, and much appreciated.
Dr. Bonney was one of the best Dr's I've encountered in a really long time. She was welcoming, kind and let me explain my concerns with no interruptions. She was there in the room with me my entire visit, not typing away on a computer. This made me feel seen and heard. I have never needed a specialist before, and she made the experience much less scary. She explained everything that she was doing, and she asked permission before coming in contact with my body during my exam. I have never had a provider that embodies the perfect level of kindness and professionalism that Dr. Bonney has. I will 100% recommend her should I know someone that needs a pelvic medicine specialist.
