About Me
I’m a general surgeon at the University of Vermont Medical Center and a professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM in Burlington, Vermont. I also serve as the division chief of general surgery.
My clinical interests focus on a range of conditions and procedures, including achalasia, adrenal gland tumors, esophageal cancer, foregut surgery, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal and paraesophageal hernias, splenectomy and stomach cancer.

Dr. Borrazzo showed and explained the fluoroscopy images which was very helpful.

I have nothing bad to say. I feel I received the professional care that I expect when seeing a professional about my care. Everything was explained about tests prior to surgery, and care after. A couple of times I asked for clarification on a point, and it was addressed.
I dealt with severe abdominal pain for 2 years. Had multiple tests including a colonoscopy. Dr. Borrazzo was the first doctor to listen to my concerns and reassure me that he knew the issue and could fix it.
Dr. Borrazzo was very thorough, responding pleasantly to all of my concerns and clearly explaining why he chose one surgical solution over another.
The Dr and team were fantastic. We're lucky to have this quality and excellence of care available.
