About Our Location
The Pediatric Inpatient Unit at University of Vermont Health - Golisano Children's Hospital is intentionally designed to be a child-friendly, family-centered space where our team of hospitalists, nurses, social workers, child life specialists and other pediatric experts work together to care for hospitalized children.
Our 20-bed inpatient pediatric unit is a supportive, nurturing environment that reflects our dedication to compassionate treatment and our commitment to bringing your child the most advanced care.
Our Facilities Include
- Massage, Music & Pet Therapy: These resources provide comfort and help children feel more at ease during their stay.
- Play Areas: Two specially designed play areas: one for younger children and another for adolescents and teens.
- The Ronald McDonald Family Room: A quiet space where families can eat a meal, get a snack or drink a cup of coffee. A washer and dryer on the floor allow us to provide laundry services.
Child Life Program
Medical care can be overwhelming for children. Our Child Life Specialists help your child cope with stress, prepare for procedures and understand their care. These highly trained specialists offer your family support as you navigate our health system.
