What attracted you to UVM Medical Center: UVM Medical Center’s residency program stood out to me while looking at PGY-1’s truly because of the people. The preceptors here are incredibly supportive and will help you succeed during your residency year. Creating a positive learning environment and developing a strong community are a big focus here and it showed during interviews! The vast number of opportunities in rotations and longitudinal activities made it a great choice for exploring all of my interest areas and growing in my clinical skills. 

What do you love most about VT: I love that Vermont has so many activities to offer that are right around Burlington! You are able to go to the beach, paddleboard, hike, ski, boat, and so much more! There are so many amazing restaurants and exciting events happening all the time. We are also very close to a few major cities, giving you some great options for weekend trips! Everything is so accessible, you’ll never be lacking things to do!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: In my free time I enjoy exploring new places and finding new hobbies! I especially love finding new trails or hikes to walk with my dog, traveling, watching a good movie or TV show, having a game night, spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants and breweries, and exploring Burlington! I am looking forward to experiencing the Vermont beaches, trying skiing in the winter, and hiking the beautiful mountains in the fall!

What attracted you to UVM Medical Center: UVMMC is an academic medical center and level I trauma center that truly cares about their employees, residents, and patients wholeheartedly. Throughout the interview process, every interaction I had with people at UVM Medical Center was positive, encouraging and supportive. Everyone truly wants you to learn and succeed which is the best environment for a resident! This program also provides a variety of rotation opportunities along with preceptors who are excited to teach!

What do you love most about VT: I love that everything in Burlington is so close and there is so much to do! You can go to the beach, a local concert, or hike and see waterfalls all within an hour. There truly is something fun to do during every season and everyone is so friendly and welcoming!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: In my free time, I enjoy working out, running, and hiking. I also love watching Buffalo Bills football games and reading books. Above all, I love exploring new restaurants, finding local events, and getting to know Vermont in general!

What attracted you to UVM Medical Center: The people! I was initially drawn to the outstanding culture within the pharmacy department and the hospital as a whole. I was very impressed by the supportive environment and genuine care for resident success. Additionally, the wide variety of rotation options and opportunities for professional growth made UVMMC an easy decision!

What do you love most about VT: I love that Vermont has so many things to do during every season. From hiking and swimming in the summer to skiing and snowboarding in the winter, there really is something for everyone. Additionally, I love that there are so many local events each week. There is always a farmers’ market, sporting event, or another fun activity going on!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: I enjoy anything outdoors! I love to hike, play soccer and pickleball, and go on long walks. Additionally, I love to try out new restaurants/coffee shops and have been having a ton of fun exploring Burlington so far. Outside of that, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

What attracted you to UVM Medical Center: The culture of UVMMC’s pharmacy program is truly exceptional. From my earliest interactions, it was clear this program strikes the perfect balance between robust clinical training and a supportive learning environment.​ Between the intentional mentorship and the programs commitment to our growth, every aspect of residency here feels like it's designed to help residents succeed.

What do you love most about VT: ​Vermont’s natural beauty and sense of community makes it such a special place. I love that I can spend my evening exploring scenic trails, enjoying local farmers markets or trying new restaurants around Burlington. I'm also looking forward to hitting the slopes and learning how to ski in the winter!​

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: I love exploring new restaurants and cuisines - being a foodie is one of my biggest passions! I have also been enjoying being outdoors and discovering all the nature that Vermont has to offer.
