What Alena enjoys about Vermont: I love Vermont because it feels like home. The charm of Burlington as a college town brings such a sense of warmth and connection, with a vibrant culture, great restaurants, and opportunities to gather as a community. I deeply appreciate Vermont’s political climate, which reflects values of inclusivity and thoughtfulness that I share. I’m inspired by the beauty of the outdoors in every season, from snowy winters to vibrant autumns, and I love that there’s always something to do outside. Vermont is also an incredible place to raise a family—the community feels safe and welcoming, and the public schools are outstanding. Altogether, Vermont offers the perfect mix of natural beauty, strong values, and family-friendly living that makes me excited to be here

What Benjamin enjoys about Vermont: he University of Vermont's Pain Medicine Fellowship has excellent attendings, a comprehensive curriculum, broad clinical experience with lots of exposure to procedures, structured teaching, and a training environment that fosters graded responsibility. Downtown Burlington is beautiful, and a couple of blocks from the spectacular waterfront of Lake Champlain. There is great hiking, gravel and mountain biking nearby.
