The generosity of community members has always played an important role in the progress and overall success of Porter Medical Center.

Our Priority Initiatives

We understand the value of having health care close to home. We’ve been here for our community members for nearly 100 years, during times of health and sickness and at every stage of life.

We count on your donations to help us continue to provide the expert care you expect and deserve. With your support, we’re able to update our facilities and deliver services that improve our community’s health — now and in the future.

To help us continue our work, we’ve identified the following focus areas for you to consider when donating. You can also contact us to direct your gift to an area of specific interest.

Porter Medical Center Unrestricted Fund

The Porter Medical Center Unrestricted Fund touches every aspect of our mission and helps us improve the health and well-being of our patients and the communities we serve. Your gift to this unrestricted fund will give us the flexibility to support areas of the organization that are in most need of assistance.

Patient Support Fund

Entirely donor-funded, this impactful program helps patients afford essential items like medications, mobility aids, home medical equipment and special dietary foods, allowing them to heal comfortably at home and easing the financial burdens that can stand in the way of recovery.

Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing Fund

Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing is the only skilled nursing facility in Addison County, providing a home for people who need a trained caregiver on-site 24 hours a day. Donations to this fund supports a wide variety of programs and services at Helen Porter, such as long-term care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and enrichment activities for all.

Birth Center Fund

Our birthing center offers a comfortable, supportive environment to help make the birth experience as joyful and memorable as possible. A gift to this fund helps us purchase needed equipment and supplies. It also ensures new parents have the items they need, such as breast pumps and car seats, regardless of financial status.

Palliative Care and Addison Respite Care Home (ARCH)

Your donation and support will allow us to respond to every request we receive for volunteers and bereavement support. Our services are provided without regard to the ability to pay and are offered in settings from homes and residential care centers to hospitals and nursing homes.
