The Impact of Your Giving
Behind every patient’s care is a team of dedicated clinicians, staff — and donors. Our Office of Development works closely with Central Vermont Medical Center leadership and the central Vermont community to carry out our mission — Central to our community. Caring for a lifetime.
Over the years, donations from our generous community have supported a wide range of initiatives at Central Vermont Medical Center and touched thousands of people. Our donors have allowed us to purchase needed equipment, improve our services and strengthen our workforce.
In 2024, donor contributions helped us:
- Connect more than 167 patient families with fresh, local, organic food through our Health Care Share Program.
- Cover routine and unexpected expenses for more than 70 patients in cancer treatment and their families through our Branches of Hope Fund.
- Support the Nursing and Clinical Pathways Fund which provided training and development opportunities to our employees and members of our local communities to help them gain skills, education and professional certifications.
- Renovate the courtyard at Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, creating a healing sanctuary that includes a sensory garden, stone waterfall and walking paths.

We understand that many people want to invest in their local community and see the impact of their donation at work. That’s why donations to Central Vermont Medical Center are used solely to support Central Vermont Medical Center projects.
