About Me

I bring my full energy and commitment to my work every day, with a deep focus on providing the best possible care for my patients. My approach is centered on the individual— listening closely, staying present, and working purposefully to support their health and well-being.

Giving back to this community and to the institution that helped shape my life is incredibly meaningful to me. I was born at what was then the Medical Center of Vermont and spent my first two weeks in the NICU with a serious neonatal illness. Thanks to the care I received — including multiple full blood transfusions from generous donors — I was given a second chance at life.

That experience instilled in me a profound respect for the power of medicine, research, and community. I’m especially grateful to the late Dr. Jerold F. Lucey, whose pioneering work helped make my recovery possible. His legacy continues to inspire my dedication to this field.

Today, I’m proud to be part of the same academic medical center that once cared for me, and I strive to pay that care forward—through my work, my relationships with patients, and my commitment to the greater Burlington community.

Giving back to this community and to the institution that helped shape my life is incredibly meaningful to me.

  • I have been seeing Richard for many years. My reason for seeing him this appointment was awareness of a new condition that started on my scalp. After sending him some pictures via MYChart over a ten day period, he felt it best that I come to his office for closer viewing. Richard assured me that the condition was not serious and that it was readily treatable. I left his office feeling greatly relieved.
