About Me

It may sound cliché, but I enjoy working in medicine because I’m always learning. My patients and colleagues challenge what I think I know and offer new perspectives. My workdays feel meaningful, and I love giving back to my community.

I’m passionate about helping people regain their voice, swallow function and ability to communicate — essential parts of life. Whether it’s enjoying a meal safely or connecting with loved ones and providers, these functions matter deeply.

I once worked with a nonspeaking patient who was limited to “yes” and “no” responses through eye blinks. Collaborating with their family and care team, we expanded communication options using Augmentative and Alternative Communication. The patient used a foot switch to make choices — from medical decisions and Doordash orders to talking about Red Sox players. They also requested a folder of swear words, which was fun to create and practice.

Outside of work, I enjoy film photography, being in nature and cheering for the Buffalo Bills with friends and family.

My workdays feel meaningful, and I love giving back to my community.
