About Me

I was inspired to work in medicine by a desire to help people feel listened to and cared for. I enjoy educating people about their health to empower them to make the best care decisions for themselves and their families.

I am particularly interested in women's health and mental health. Working at the VA earlier on shaped my commitment to addressing mental health needs at every visit. Mental health is deeply connected to physical health.

I am currently working on a quality improvement project for my Doctor of Nursing Practice capstone focused on improving access to mental health care for adolescents.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading and anything in the water.

I enjoy educating people about their health to empower them to make the best care decisions for themselves and their families.
