About Me

I specialize in laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery, robotic colon and rectal surgery, robotic procedures for rectal prolapse, transanal minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy and endoscopic polypectomy, and sacral nerve stimulation for fecal incontinence.

My research interests include patient frailty and surgical/cancer outcomes, surgical education and education improvement.

Growing up in a small state, Delaware, I saw the benefit of living and working in a close-knit community. In Vermont, I enjoy being a member of a similar community and building relationships with patients, their families and other providers.

I enjoy meeting people, learning more about them and their health, and finding ways to improve their health and quality of life. I welcome the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients and their families to treat both benign and malignant disease.

I chose to become a colorectal surgeon because the field is dedicated to advancing care and patient outcomes through the use of technology and other novel approaches to disease management. I am committed to ensuring that my patients receive the highest quality of care in an environment focused on their care goals and overall wellbeing.

I welcome the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients and their families to treat both benign and malignant disease.

  • Again, always impressed with Dr Dressler
  • This was my first appointment with Dr. Dressler and he was extremely kind, thoughtful, helpful and I never felt like he was trying to hurry through the appointment - gave his full attention to my visit and my issues.
  • It was a very positive experience!
  • Dr. Dressler was absolutely worth the 4 month wait. He took into consideration a travel plan to Indonesia for and suggested a surgical date so I'd be recovered well. Since this visit, I've already had a confirmatory fluroscopy, and within 3 hours, results were in, and surgery was approved by my insurance! My husband and I had a joint OB-GYN practice in Central NY for some years, and this office is run like ours. Immediate confidence!
  • Dr. Dressler has been wonderful through this whole "bump in the road" with my recovery. He's very kind, caring, and thorough with the care he provides.
  • Dr. Dressler was very kind. He spoke directly to my son, who has autism, and spoke to him in language that he could understand.
  • Could not ask for anything better considering the situation.
  • The experience was very informative.
  • Used prior recent CT scan to assist diagnosis saving me money.
