About Me
I've always been fascinated by the human body and wanted a career where I could genuinely help people. That's what drew me to medicine, and it's still what I find most rewarding today. Whether through surgery or by helping patients understand their condition and identify the right non-surgical treatment, I enjoy helping people get to a better place.
Much of my practice is focused on hip and knee replacement. Vermont has many active patients dealing with worn-out hips and knees, and I find it meaningful to provide that care for my community. The trust patients place in me is something I never take for granted, and I consider it the foundation of the surgeon-patient relationship.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the transformation patients experience after hip replacement surgery. Watching someone go from living with constant pain and limited function to returning six weeks later pain-free and smiling is both gratifying and humbling. Moments like that are why I do this work.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, and, safely, using a chainsaw to cut down trees. Being outside is how I reset and recharge.
The trust patients place in me is something I never take for granted, and I consider it the foundation of the surgeon-patient relationship.
