About Me

Before pursuing a degree to practice medicine, I spent many years as a master’s‑prepared health care leader. During that time, I saw firsthand how frustrating the health care experience could be for both providers and patients. My goal is to make the process of giving and receiving care as easy as possible for everyone involved.

Developing a trusted patient‑provider relationship is central to my practice. I want patients to feel heard, valued and empowered to make the best decisions for their health goals and desires.

In 2018, while working in urgent care, I cared for a patient who struggled to follow through with their treatment plan due to social barriers. While others labeled them as chronically non‑compliant, I sat with the patient, explained their disease process and walked through the possible outcomes of each decision. I listened to their fears, concerns and challenges, validating each one. That experience reminded me that nursing goes beyond science — sometimes the most effective medicine comes from simply listening.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, downhill skiing, boating, traveling, baking and spending time with my family.

Developing a trusted patient‑provider relationship is central to my practice.
