About Me

My family inspired me to become a physician. Many of them work in health care, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps and make a difference. I got my start in medicine by volunteering as a candy stripe worker. Later on, during my medical school rotations, positive experiences in endocrinology helped me decide to specialize in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Educating others is incredibly fulfilling to me. I feel every physician has a duty to remain actively involved in both patient and medical student education. I also strongly believe in using a multifaceted approach to include evidence-based pharmaceuticals and encourage and motivate my patients to employ self-healing avenues as appropriate.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity College of Vermont and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine.

I feel every physician has a duty to remain actively involved in both patient and medical student education.
