While evaluating and setting up for the injection, the doctor mentioned he could see the possibility of 1 or 2 more treatments in different areas (lower back) that could help with my mobility and pain, depending on how the outcome of this particular injection worked for me.
Dr. Lavian is outstanding. He has great rapport with patients and works collaboratively to come to treatment decisions.
Dr. Lavian was very kind and listened to my concerns.
This Physician was one of the best I've encountered in my 83 years: very direct and understandable, showed concern and caring, clearly knew what he was doing regarding the physical examination and his leading questions for me. He definitely showed no concern about the amount of time we were taking talking through this, which is very unusual, I find! I felt very satisfied with both his examination and his explanations of my condition, prognosis, and the treatment plan I was following.
He made real effort to understand and locate my pain problem.
Dr. Lavian was very thorough in his treatment using sonopads to better direct the injection, unlike previous treatments.
I am waiting to see if the treatment was successful. So far the jury is still out, but I'm confident that Dr. Lavian did the best he could.
Excellent Physician
I felt a little rushed and did not fully feel like my personal interest in solving the problem was fully taken into consideration. However, he did go an extra step to show me my injury and explain what he could from limited detailed information.
Dr Lavian = I wish my usual physician was that professional and compassionate.
I don't recall ever feeling so uninformed. At one point the provider asked if I have a surgeon. I still don't know why. No one has mentioned surgery... I was just basically told to wait and see if the cortizone shot makes the pain better. I'd like someone to explain my particular issue to me.
