MyChart Patient Portal Access Resumes
Important milestone is critical step forward in restoring normal operations following recent cyberattack
The University of Vermont Health Network has restored access to the MyChart online patient portal for existing users, as well as EpicCare Link, an interface that allows community providers to have read-only access to the health information of shared patients. These important milestones are critical steps forward in restoring normal operations for our patients and communities.
MyChart was unavailable to patients following the recent cyberattack. All patients at the University of Vermont Medical Center, and most ambulatory patients at Central Vermont Medical Center, Porter Medical Center and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital now have access once again to the system. However, patients may see some temporary changes in the way they experience MyChart.
Some information will appear as scanned documents in the My Documents section for visits that occurred while the electronic health record was down. Upcoming appointments, messages, and some test results may take a little longer to appear in MyChart. For any urgent matters, patients should call their provider’s office.
New MyChart sign-ups and activations are temporarily unavailable.
At this time, billing statements and payment processing are delayed at UVM Medical Center and Porter Medical Center. Payments sent just before or during the time when systems were down have been received, but processing is delayed. Any new charges incurred during our downtime period will be also delayed.
Patients can login now to their accounts at MyChart.UVMHealth.org or through the MyChart app on mobile devices.
We appreciate the patience and flexibility our patients and communities have extended to our Network as we work to return to normal operations as quickly and safely as possible. We are grateful to our staff who have worked tirelessly on the recovery effort and on ensuring patients receive the high-quality care they deserve.
