Biographical Information

Dr. Daniel Ackil is an emergency medicine doctor at the University of Vermont Medical Center and assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. He specializes in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). His academic interests include education, resuscitation, trauma, wilderness medicine, and wellness.

Dr. Ackil knows that in the emergency department, he often meets patients and their families on their worst days. His goal is to communicate clearly enough so they can better understand their conditions and in turn be more involved in their own medical decision making.
