Robert Miller
1935-2020

Robert “Bob” Miller - philanthropist, community member and friend - passed away on February 4, 2020. We’d like to pause and reflect on this amazing man and all that he’s done for our community.

For Bob and his wife Holly, charity really did begin at home. They were supporters of many UVM Medical Center initiatives, and they played a key role in helping to transform this organization over the years. In 2017, they gave the largest gift in the history of UVM Medical Center, and our new inpatient building, the Robert E. and Holly D. Miller Building, recognizes their incredible spirit of giving.

Bob was a person who knew what it meant to be a good friend and neighbor. He was proud to be a champion of causes that he felt benefited our community. Over the years, some of us have met him – and those who did would all agree: he was a friendly, no-nonsense, down-to-earth person who spent his life doing the right thing, hoping to inspire others.

In recognition of Bob and the tremendous impact he’s had on our community, let’s all take a moment to recognize the difference one person can make in the lives of others.

Please share your memories of Bob or a send message to the Millers here:
