For more than 30 years, the McClure Miller Respite House has provided compassionate hospice care in a peaceful, home-like setting for individuals and families facing life's final chapter. As Vermont's only Medicare-certified inpatient hospice residence, the Respite House is a treasured community resource that ensures comfort, dignity and support when it matters most.

Philanthropic support makes this care possible for every family who turns to us. Today, we're raising $2.5 million to ensure compassionate care remains available for every family who needs it, now and for years to come.

Demand for hospice services continues to grow as Vermont's population ages. At the same time, the cost of providing high-quality, compassionate care continues to rise. Philanthropic support is essential to ensuring the Respite House can meet today's needs while preparing for tomorrow.

• Expand Access to Care: By reopening the House's third wing, allowing us to serve approximately 50 additional residents each year and provide more families with access to hospice care when they need it most.
• Meet Growing Community Need: As Vermont's population ages, demand for hospice services continues to increase, requiring greater capacity and resources to serve our community.
• Sustain Care for All: Insurance reimbursements do not fully cover the cost of care, making philanthropic support essential to keeping the Respite House accessible regardless of a family's ability to pay.
