Our curriculum combines a variety of clinical experiences and a dedicated academic half-day to help you develop expertise in assessing and managing the physical, psychological and spiritual suffering faced by patients with serious illness. You will also develop skills and experience with population health, research, quality improvement and medical education to help you grow as a Hospice and Palliative Care leader.

- Clinical Experience & Rotations: Diverse hands-on experiences at a major academic hospital, a hospice center, a longitudinal care facility, critical access hospitals, and patients’ homes, as well as through telehealth visits.
- Academic Half-Day: Half-day interactive workshops that enhance the knowledge and skills critical to the clinical practices of hospice and palliative medicine.
- Advanced Skills Workshops & Leadership Development: Workshops dedicated to self-care and resilience, focusing on topics such as narrative medicine, Balint groups and structured reflections.
