Welcome to the UVM Medical Center and University of Vermont medical residency programs. We are dedicated to providing university-based, academically focused residency programs that provide a comprehensive and well-rounded medical training experience in a setting that offers a quality of life that is second to none.
We offer over 50 residency and fellowship programs on our Burlington campus, where more than 320 residents and fellows engage in fulfilling our clinical, research, teaching, and community service missions.
Accreditation
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) is a private, non-profit council that evaluates and accredits residency training programs across the country. At the University of Vermont and UVM Medical Center, 17 of 18 residency programs are accredited by ACGME; the dental residency is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation; 23 of 27 fellowship programs are accredited by ACGME.
