For applicants interested in a premier academic program located in beautiful setting, please search this site to learn more about our child psychiatry fellowship.

Our goal is to educate future leaders in clinical practice, research, and teaching by utilizing the latest scientific advances in knowledge and technique. Faculty within the Division of Child Psychiatry and affiliated departments across the University include individuals known throughout the world for excellence and innovation in their scholastic and clinical endeavors.

In addition to meeting all required training elements, this child psychiatry fellowship program is unique in its application of research training, and family-based approach toward assessment and treatment.

The child psychiatry fellowship program is located in stunning Burlington, Vermont - a small city on the shores of Lake Champlain bordered by the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondack Mountains to the west. The area is famous for its safe and friendly communities, excellent schools, progressive ethos, art and cultural events, spectacular fall foliage, and a multitude of activities for the outdoor enthusiast. For more information, see the section on Life in Vermont.

The child psychiatry fellowship is part of the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and UVM Medical Center and is coordinated with the general psychiatry program. The fellowship generally recruits two incoming fellows per year to join two residents who are already participating in our five-year Integrated General/Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Program.

This is truly an exciting time for the University, our Division, and the entire field of Child Psychiatry. We encourage you to consider joining us.
