WELCOME!
Thank you for your interest in our Geriatric Medicine Fellowship here at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Our Geriatric Medicine fellowship is a 1 year ACGME accredited fellowship located in beautiful Burlington, Vermont.
Our mission is to train geriatric medicine fellows in a supportive academic environment to deliver care to older adults in a variety of settings including, hospital, nursing home, outpatient clinic and in home care. Working closely with our geriatric, hospice and palliative care and geriatric psychiatry faculty and community, our fellows will develop clinical and educational excellence in caring for the geriatric population. They will provide high quality care that prudently utilizes resources and improves the knowledge base of trainees and other medical providers at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Why Choose GME at UVM Medical Center
I chose to train at UVM because it offered a wonderful balance of great training opportunities in an area I would love to call home. I am excited to be the first Geriatrics Fellow at UVM, and to start a tradition of training compassionate physicians in the care of older adults. The fellowship provides opportunities to learn geriatric medicine in the inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, and home based settings. Each of these settings is important and will help to guide my career choice. Lastly, and importantly to me, it all happens in a beautiful part of New England, allowing me to explore the Green Mountains on the weekends.
